Research on the role of Institutions, Entrepreneurship and Organisational Change for a fundamental re-orientation towards achieving environmental, social and economic sustainability is a promising and challenging academic field. It calls for a multitude of methods, combination of disciplines and new research designs. 

We invite doctoral candidates and post-docs to submit a paper to the first international oikos Young Scholars Entrepreneurship Academy, hosted in cooperation with The Hub, WWF and Mercator Foundation. Feedback will be given by fellow students and senior faculty: 

Prof. Tina Dacin, E. Marie Shantz Professor of Strategy & Organizational Behavior Queen's School of Business, Ontario, Canada 
Prof. Filipe Santos, Academic Director, INSEAD Social Entrepreneurship Initiative, Fontainebleau, France 
Prof. Mark Starik, Department Chair and Professor of Strategy & Public Policy, George Washington University, USA 

To allow in-depth discussions the oikos Young Scholars Entrepreneurship  Academy is limited to 15 young scholars. Please, send us your proposal abstract (max. 2-3 pages), a short curriculum vitae and a letter of interest until April 30, 2010 (Notification of acceptance: May15). The academy programme will encompass graduate student presentations, guest lectures, professional development roundtables, outdoor activities, social events and a roundtable on publication strategies. Authors of adequate theoretical and quantitative empirical contributions in the area of social entrepreneurship will receive professional coaching to prepare a paper submission for a Special Issue on "The Future of Social Entrepreneurship", International Journal of Entrepreneurial Venturing (IJEV).
