Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship

The Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship is based within the Business
School at the University of Strathclyde and was founded by Scotland's
foremost entrepreneur and philanthropist, Sir Tom Hunter.

The Hunter Centre offers a range of courses designed to meet the needs
of undergraduates, postgraduates, doctoral students and those who wish
to pursue professional development training. These are provided in the
form of electives which existing Strathclyde students can take as part
of their undergraduate studies; specific degree programmes leading to a
BA in Business Enterprise and post graduate Masters programmes in
Technology Entrepreneurship, Environmental Entrepreneurship, and an
internationally delivered Masters in Entrepreneurship. The Hunter Centre
provides Enterprise Fellowship training for those seeking to
commercialise research in science and technology, and also has its own
Post Graduate Research School.

Research in entrepreneurship at Strathclyde currently focuses on four
main themes: entrepreneurship and regional and rural development;
entrepreneurial finance; female entrepreneurship and the design,
implementation and evaluation of entrepreneurship education. Following
the recent success in obtaining funding from ESRC and the Carnegie
Foundation entrepreneurial philanthropy will become a further research
focus. The Centre also produces the annual Scottish Global
Entrepreneurship Monitor and is represented on both the UK and
international steering committees of GEM. In addition, the Centre also
had significant Outreach activities. Further details on the Hunter
Centre for Entrepreneurship at the University of Strathclyde are
