NORDIC CONFERENCE ON SMALL BUSINESS RESEARCH
MAY 19-20, 2016
RIGA, LATVIA

The Nordic conference on small business research (NCSB) has been run since 1980. Recognizing the role of entrepreneurship and small business in both regional and national contexts, the main focus of the conference in 2016 will be “Entrepreneurship and Value Creation”. For this reason we especially welcome papers that deal with such topics as the competitiveness and productivity of entrepreneurship and SMEs, informal entrepreneurship practices, and the contribution of SMEs on the regional level. We also welcome empirical and conceptual papers in various other fields of entrepreneurship and small business research.

Important dates.
Paper Submission of extended abstracts (2 pages): January 15, 2016
Notification of acceptance: February 16, 2016.
Submission of full papers: April 21, 2016

Doctoral Pre- conference, May 18, 2016.
The Conference offers doctoral students a forum to discuss their research findings and ideas with their peers. On May 18, doctoral students are invited to present research proposals to a group ofexperienced researchers.
The number of participating doctoral students is limited to 16.The doctoral pre-conference is led by a team consisting of: Professor Ulla Hytti, Professor Kim Klyver, Professor Lene Foss, Professor Hans Landstöm, Dr. Arnis Sauka 
Students will be selected by drawing on short abstracts (not to exceed 2 pages), where their research problem is presented. Please submit your proposals to Dr. Arnis Sauka, e-mail: arnis.sauka at sseriga.edu by March 10, 2016.
