Postdoc-Assistant

in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship

at the Department of Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship (full time, potential tenure track position, Employment scheme A2)
Starting date: April 1, 2011

The candidate should have worked successfully in Entrepreneurship and/or Innovation Management and should have demonstrated strong international commitment as well as the ability to publish in international academic journals. The candidate should be experienced in empirical research and teaching. She/he will contribute to the development of the degree course “Master in International Management”. We are seeking a committed and creative person with intellectual curiosity, strong communicative skills, organizational talent, and enthusiasm for team work.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Original research and publications in leading international academic journals
- In case of a qualification contract, habilitation or equivalent scientific achievements within six years
- Acquisition and execution of research projects
- Graduate and undergraduate teaching in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management courses in English
- Supervision of Bachelor’s and Master’s candidates
- Administrative duties (e.g. committee service) associated with departmental and university membership
- Supporting the coordinators of the existing international PhD-networks

Required Qualifications
- Ph.D or D.B.A. degree with emphasis on Entrepreneurship or Innovation Management
- Previous teaching experience at university level
- Quantitative and / or qualitative empirical research in the areas of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management
- Demonstrated ability for excellence in scholarly research
- International experience
- Excellent knowledge of English

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in project management and acquisition
- Record of refereed publications
- Knowledge of German
