The Alpen-Adria-Universitaet Klagenfurt is pleased to offer the position of

Postgraduate Assistant

in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship

at the Department of Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship (part time 50 %, temporary contract for 4 years, Employment scheme B1).
Starting date: April 1, 2011

The candidate should have a background or a strong interest in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management. She/he will contribute to the development of the degree course "Master in International Management".

Duties and Responsibilities
- Original research and scholarly publication aiming at completion of Ph.D. thesis
- Cooperation in and execution of departmental research projects
- Graduate and undergraduate teaching in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management courses in English
- Supervision of Bachelor's and Master's candidates
- Administrative duties (e.g. committee service) associated with departmental and university membership

Required Qualifications
- Graduate diploma program in business administration or Master's degree with emphasis on Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management or a graduate diploma or Master's degree in related fields (e.g. Sociology, Economics, ...)
- Experience with quantitative research methods (e.g. SPSS)
- International experience
- Excellent knowledge of English

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in project management and acquisition
- Potential for excellence in scholarly research
- Strong communicative skills and enthusiasm for team work
- Knowledge of German
