PhD positions in Business Administration with specialization in Entrepreneurship and
Innovation Management (Prof. Dr. Achim Walter) at the Christian-Albrechts-University of
Kiel.

Starting date: as soon as possible.

For a larger research project dealing with value creation from publicly funded basic research
and international diffusion of basic research outcomes, we seek motivated PhD candidates
with a background in business administration, economics, natural science, or engineering. The
positions are initially restricted to two years. The weekly workload equals 50% of a full-time
employee (appr. 19,35 hours per week). The salary for the position is based on the German
federal public service scale (13 TV-L, formally BAT IIa).

Job description:
The tasks contain theoretical and empirical research in the field of entrepreneurship and
innovation management, which are integral part of the doctorate of the candidates. Moreover,
we expect assistance and support for the basic tasks of our research group.

Applicants profile:
You should have completed your master or diploma studies in business administration,
economics, natural sciences, or engineering with outstanding success or will do so in the near
future. Moreover, we expect team play, an intrinsic motivation for research, profound
knowledge of empirical research methods, commitment and flexibility and proficiency in
English and at least fair knowledge of German.
