Job description

Our preference is for an economist with expertise in the area of innovation studies. Due to the strong focus on societal challenges in the department an interest in environmental innovation is welcomed. Also an evolutionary and / or innovation system perspective on innovation is preferred. The tasks of the successful applicant are:
* To develop and implement research in the area of 'innovation studies'. Additional key words: technological change, emerging technologies, firm behaviour, technological trajectories. 
* To publish in international scientific journals. 
* To contribute to curriculum development and teaching for the BA Science and Innovation Management; our Research MSc Science and Innovation Management (IDS); and supervise MSc students. 
* To help acquiring additional research funding (including PhD-projects) and participate in supervision. 
* To help develop and contribute to a network of academics and practitioners focused on innovation studies and participate in public debates.

Requirements
* Doctorate/ PhD in economics or in related disciplines.
* Affinity with topics and themes of the Innovation Studies Group.
* Proven track-record in writing high-quality academic publications, demonstrated by publications in refereed international scientific journals.
* Demonstrated experience and strong commitment to quality teaching.
* A positive attitude in contributing to (international) networks of academics and practitioners in the field of innovation studies and working in a team.
