ICSB - DOCTORAL CONSORTIUM ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND SMALL BUSINESS MANAGEMENT at the ICSB 2010 World Conference
Hilton Netherland Plaza, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
Thursday, 24 June 2010
Abstracts due by March 15, 2010
Chairpersons: Associate Professor Dr. Helle Neergaard (Aarhus School of Business, Denmark), Associate Professor Dr. Sharon Alvarez (Fisher College of Business, Ohio State University, USA)

The Doctoral Consortium has a successful tradition at the ICSB World Conference. It represents a unique opportunity for doctoral students to present their thesis proposals and obtain useful insight into how their work can be improved and progressed as well as an opportunity for bouncing ideas off on experienced faculty. The workshop also facilitates the exchange of research experiences and new ideas in the fields of entrepreneurship and small business. The ICSB Doctoral Consortium is truly a meeting place for both new and experienced researchers from all over the world and an ideal place to start networking.

Organization: The consortium is organized with a morning and an afternoon session. The morning session is organized in a round table plenary session discussing common challenges; and the afternoon session discusses individual student proposals in 4-5 tracks based on the proposals received from the doctoral students. One or two senior faculty experienced in the specific topic addressed will discuss each proposal.

The number of participants is limited to 20 students so early application is encouraged. Students will be notified of acceptance of their proposal no later than 15 March 2010. Immediately following receipt of acceptance, students are required to register formally for the Conference.

A $75 fee is charged for participation in the Doctoral Consortium. Registration for the ICSB World Conference should be processed at the student rate. Please note though, that students need not present a paper at the Conference itself to participate, although this is encouraged. The conference fee includes one year's full membership in ICSB.

Further information on the Doctoral Consortium will be forwarded together with the letter of acceptance. For further information on the ICSB World Conference itself, please visit www.icsb2010.org. This is also the place to become familiar with ICSB as an organization and the advantages membership offers.
