The Role

Working in the Institute of Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship, you will be in a small team initially working across five existing departments Drama, Music, Design, Media and Communications and the Centre for Cultural Studies.

You will be responsible for coordinating across these Departments to create, develop and deliver workshops and other interventions that support the entrepreneurial development of students and staff of Goldsmiths, as well as contributing to the MA CCE. You will provide some management support to the Director and ICCE staff for both training, short courses and research projects. In addition you will have a proven track record in developing the skills of emerging creative entrepreneurs

The Department

ICCE is a new academic area within goldsmiths initially working across five existing departments, Drama, Music, Design, Media and Communications and the Centre for Cultural studies. At present the department has two part time academic staff. A Director and a lecturer responsible for running the new MA Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship and a part-time administrator.

Academic activities within ICCE

In accordance with the breadth of vision underpinning ICCE, ICCE is developing, a full range of academic activities:

. Taught programmes at postgraduate and undergraduate level
. Research degrees
. Short courses - both general and bespoke
. Continuing Professional Development
. Training and support for creative businesses
. A framework for knowledge transfer partnerships
. Participatory workshops and summer schools
. Research

The first of these activities the MA in Cultural and Creative Entrepreneurship has been running successfully for a year. The short courses will be developed for delivery in 2009-10. The department also has a number of PhD students.

ICCE is also working collaboratively beyond Goldsmiths, with a range of partners - both within the higher education sector and the broader cultural industries sector.

This post will be responsible for coordinating across Departments to create, develop and deliver workshops and other interventions that support the entrepreneurial development of students and staff of Goldsmiths, as well as work on the MA CCE. Additionally the post will provide some management support to the Director and ICCE staff for both training, short courses and research projects

ICCE - currently promotes collaboration between existing departments and, in time, with other institutions - this means that it will sometimes be organising programmes, and sometimes be a vehicle for the promotion of existing programmes delivered elsewhere.
