POSITION:	NEAL PENDERGRAFT PROFESSOR OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP
(09-10-0075)

EFFECTIVE DATE:	August 2009

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:	Primary responsibilities include serving
as a "champion" for the development of entrepreneurial skills and
motivation among UA Fort Smith College of Business majors, but also
among students in other majors across the University. Teaching is the
first priority throughout the University, and this position carries an
instructional workload of teaching 3 three-hour lower-and upper-division
entrepreneurship or related management courses (9 credit hours) each
semester. However, the position also requires working closely with
external constituencies and maintaining an appropriate entrepreneurship
research agenda which supports the College's mission of commitment to
service and regional economic development - especially in the areas of
small, family, and closely-held businesses. Other duties are those
typically associated with a senior member of the faculty including
advising, committee assignments, and research. In summary, the holder of
this named professorship will possess superior credentials in his/her
field; hold expertise in curriculum development, teaching, and learning;
be held in high esteem by peers and colleagues; and be capable of
leading and implementing change.

QUALIFICATIONS:	Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in a business or
business-related field from an AACSB accredited institution, plus
relevant teaching and/or business experience and a successful research
agenda, as well as evidence of successful outcomes in working with a
wide range of stakeholders, including collaborative relationships with
faculty colleagues. An equivalent practitioner background involving
entrepreneurial experience would be considered in exceptional cases.
Background must be appropriate for rank of Associate Professor or
Professor. Other job related education and/or experience may be
substituted for part of these requirements.

SALARY:	Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and
experience.

BENEFITS:	Competitive benefits package available including health,
dental, life, and income protection plans; excellent retirement
benefits; liberal leave plan; flex benefit plan; and tuition benefits
for employee and family. Additionally, the position holder's salary will
be supplemented by a generous stipend from the Neal Pendergraft
Professor of Entrepreneurship Endowment along with a personal-use fund
available for travel, research, and other forms of support.

DEADLINE:	Open until filled. To ensure full consideration
application materials should be submitted by November 30, 2008.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:	Submit letter of application, curriculum vitae,
and unofficial college transcripts to: Search Committee, c/o Human
Resources, UA Fort Smith, 5210 Grand Avenue, Fullerton Administration
Building, Room 239 or PO Box 3649, Fort Smith, AR 72913-3649 or by
