ESRC CASE Studentships in Social Enterprise

The Social Enterprise Research Cluster, a consortium led by Middlesex University with the University of Durham and South Bank University, is a major ESRC backed programme to build research skills and capacity related to social enterprise.

As part of this exciting programme Middlesex University has two doctoral level CASE studentships (+3) (starting in January 2009) in the following areas:

􀂾 Ethnic minority related social enterprises in the 2012 Olympics and Paralympic Games and its legacy - Middlesex University Business School in collaboration with the Ethnic Minority Foundation
􀂾 Older social entrepreneurs - Middlesex University Business School in collaboration with UnLtd

There will be further PhD and research associate opportunities with Middlesex University, London South Bank University and Durham University (www.dur.ac.uk/geography/postgrad/funding_opportunities/) 

The Centre for Enterprise and Economic Development Research (CEEDR), part of the Middlesex University Business School, welcomes applications from candidates who have:
• A good honours degree, preferably in a relevant social science, business or management
• A MRes or other recognised postgraduate research qualification or experience demonstrably equivalent to this
• Familiarity with the social enterprise and small business sector
• Work experience in a relevant third sector or business setting

Eligibility: Applicants must meet the ESRC UK residency requirements
Closing date: 10th October, 2008
Interview: 22nd October, 2008
