PhD Studentship

The Department of Management Science and Innovation at University College London is launching a brand new PhD Programme. Applications are invited for a PhD Scholarship from students interested in pursuing a PhD in Management Science & Innovation in the research area of Management Science & Operations Research, and Technology & Innovation Management.

We are seeking a talented graduate with a first degree from a reputable university in a business, science, engineering or a related subject. A Masters degree is preferable but not essential.

University College London (UCL), located in central London, is one of the foremost research and teaching institutions in the world, and is part of the University of London. UCL has 19,000 students and 4,000 academic staff in 72 departments. It has the highest number of professors of any university in the UK. Academic staff or former students of UCL have won 19 Nobel Prizes.

The Department of Management Science & Innovation is the UCL partner in the growing strategic alliance between UCL and London Business School, capitalising on research and educational synergies between these two world-class institutions, with several faculty members holding appointments between UCL and London Business School. The flagship post-graduate program offered by the Department is the Technology Entrepreneurship masters degree. During the summer of 2008, MS&I will move to a new state-of-the-art building dedicated to the Department.

The studentship is for three years and covers payment of tuition fees at only the UK/EU rate plus an annual stipend of £14,622.
