University  of Paisley - New Full-time PhD Studentship Scheme

Driven by an ambitious strategic research plan and building upon its 5 and 4 rated grades in the last RAE through targeted investment, the University is to award 26 PhD studentships in areas where further improved performance in RAE 2008 is projected.

The New PhD Studentship Scheme will offer the following benefits:

* Exemption from the payment of annual fees
* Guaranteed stipend of 6 hours teaching per week at a rate of £24 per hour (approximately £500 per month for one day of teaching commitment per week).

Studentships are open to Home/EU candidates with a first degree in a relevant discipline.
