Lecturer in International Business and Entrepreneurship
University of Essex - School of Entrepreneurship and Business

The University of Essex is establishing a new campus in Southend, building on its existing successful partnership with South East Essex College, where students already study for a wide range of University of Essex undergraduate degrees. Southend has been identified as a key area in the largest and most ambitious regeneration initiative in Europe, the Thames Gateway.

The University's School of Entrepreneurship and Business, a unique school focusing on different aspects of new venture creation, innovation, growth and economic regeneration, is currently offering and developing a range of entrepreneurship and business degrees and courses for regional, national and international markets. As part of this expansion we are recruiting a Lecturer in International Business and Entrepreneurship.

Applicants should have subject expertise and practical experience in international business and an interest in and knowledge of entrepreneurship, with the intention of exploring the connection between the two areas. Experience of teaching effectively in an HE institution and a commitment to providing regular and timely support to students and module tutors is essential, as is the potential for achievement in research excellence. Candidates should hold, or be close to completion of a PhD in a relevant subject area.

Appointment to this full-time, permanent post, to commence as soon as possible, will be on the scale £28,829 - £36,959 per annum depending on skills and experience.

Closing date: 3 April 2006
