Call for Papers: Entrepreneurship in Emerging Regions
Journal of Business Venturing - Special Issue
Deadline: June 30, 2006

The guest editors for the special issue of the Journal of Business
Venturing invite papers on the topic of Entrepreneurship in Emerging
Regions. Any papers that explore the relationship between
entrepreneurship and the growth and development of the emerging regions
of the world are welcome. Emerging regions include not only developing
nations, but also regions within nations, regional clusters,
metropolitan areas, and inner cities of large metropolitan centers. Such
relationships may include those between entrepreneurs, entrepreneurial
firms, their strategies, and entrepreneurial support systems on the
development of these regions. In addition, papers that explore the role
of the regions and their governments or support systems in the
development (or lack) of entrepreneurship, are also encouraged. Finally,
the Journal welcomes studies on entrepreneurial finance and family
businesses, in so far as they deal with the issue of the growth and
development of emerging regions.
