We wish to appoint a Research Fellow who will provide research leadership in the area of innovation and international development.

You will have entrepreneurial energy and enthusiasm and contribute to the research culture in the new OU research centre Innovation, Knowledge and Development (IKD).

You will have a PhD in Economics, or in a related subject such as Business Management or Technology. You will have a track record of scholarly research in the area of Innovation and/or Development, preferably in an area that connects these two fields through the use of economic analysis.

Applicants preferring fixed term secondments or other arrangements are welcome.

You will be based in the Department of Economics, and work with researchers in other faculties through the inter-faculty research centre Innovation, Knowledge and Development (IKD) centre, which builds on the OU's expertise in biotechnology innovation and development, innovation and industry dynamics, knowledge management, entrepreneurship, social learning and public action, and design innovation (http://www.open.ac.uk/ikd/).
