Liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen und Interessierte der Sektion Migration und ethnische Minderheiten der DGS,
mit dieser Rundmail versenden wir Informationen und Hinweise auf Tagungen und Neuerscheinungen. Als neue Sprecherin der Sektion bitte ich Sie um Beachtung und Weitergabe der Informationen. 
Zur Sektionsarbeit in diesem Zusammenhang folgende Mitteilungen:

Der Vorstand der Sektion besteht jetzt aus folgenden Personen: Annette Treibel (Sprecherin), Thomas Faist, Kira Kosnick, Ludger Pries und Almut Zwengel

Der Wechsel von Ludger Pries auf mich fand in der letzten Sitzung des Vorstandes der Sektion im Juni statt. An dieser Stelle sei Ludger Pries herzlich für seine Arbeit als Sektionssprecher gedankt! Dank auch an Patricia Pielage in Bochum, die uns auch in der nächsten Zeit noch unterstützen wird. 

Die Arbeiten für und an Newsletter, Webseite und Mitgliederbetreuung werden in der Folgezeit in Karlsruhe, Duisburg, Frankfurt/Main und Fulda neu koordiniert. Dank an Anja Weiß und Christoph Potempa in Duisburg, Kira Kosnick und Darja Klingenberg in Frankfurt, Almut Zwengel in Fulda sowie Melike Schindler und Marian Stohldreier in Karlsruhe.

29. September – 1. Oktober 2011 in Innsbruck: Dreiländerkongress für Soziologie „Neuer Strukturwandel der Öffentlichkeit“ (http://www.soziologie2011.eu); dort führt unsere Sektion in Zusammenarbeit mit der Sektion Soziale Ungleichheit und Sozialstrukturanalyse zwei Panels zu „Muster sozialer Ungleichheit, Migration und Ausgrenzung in der öffentlichen Diskussion“ durch.
10.-11. November 2011 in Bochum: Gemeinsamer Workshop unserer Sektion mit der Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, Gesprächskreis Migration und Integration zu „Soziale Ungleichheit in der Einwanderungsgesellschaft. Kategorien, Konzepte und Einflussfaktoren“.
