The Faculty III, School of Economic Disciplines, Chair for SME Management and Entrepreneurship invites applications for a position as doctoral student or postdoc researcher (salary category TV-L 13, 50% of regular working time). The position is available from 1 August 2013 for initially 3 years, prolongation possible. It is a part-time position, with the possibility to increase it to a full-time position. 

Job description: At the chair of SME Management and Entrepreneurship, our team is committed to evidence-based and practice-oriented teaching and research in our core areas. Our research analyses entrepreneurial behaviour in new and young enterprises, we study the influence of different contexts on entrepreneurship and small business development, and we also ask how entrepreneurs can change their contexts. We closely cooperate with the Institut für Mittelstandsforschung in Bonn (IFM), where the chairholder is president, and with international research institutions in our fields. 

We expect you to be interested in 

. teaching bachelor and master students, using novel methods of entrepreneurship education 
. developing and conducting your own research in the field of entrepreneurship and small business management, including applying for funding 
. actively disseminating your results to academia and practitioners
. supporting the chair management and administration The position involves a teaching assignment of 2 hours per week during the semester (part-time position). 

Teaching will be conducted in English. The position offers the possibility for academic qualification (doctoral thesis or qualification to professorship - Habilitation). 

Your profile:
. an excellent Master's degree or a Diploma in business administration, economics, sociology or closely related subjects, preferably with a specialisation on entrepreneurship or SMEs 
. excellent communication skills in English, basic skills in German 
. flexibility and high commitment, ability to work independently on your own and in teams 
. when applying for a postdoctoral position: a PhD Thesis, preferably in the field of Entrepreneurship or SMEs and publications; experiences in applying for funding, developing and implementing research projects; teaching experiences.
