ANNOUNCE: LIFE 2008

I am in charge of the organisation of LIFE (Lille International Forum of Entrepreneurship - http://www.life-forum.eu) which will take place on September the ninth in Lille (North of France). This event brings together an audience of European professionals and experts on entrepreneurship and various types of economic decision-makers. This year, our main theme will focus on the entrepreneurs and surroundings in the European context. 
This theme will be declined according to 4 workshops that will enable participants to reflect on issues concerned with entrepreneurship in the European framework:

- The Barriers and Opportunities of cross-border Entrepreneurship,
- The Role of Education in Fostering and Stimulating Entrepreneurship?
- What is the role and impact of the multitude of events, summits and publications relating to entrepreneurship?
- Public sector programmes and actions to accompany the entrepreneur and his/her project: A zoom on "European Best Practices".

To conclude this symposium, a closing plenary will be held with the theme "The environment influences the entrepreneur; the entrepreneur boosts its environment".

During this first edition in 2007, LIFE has welcomed over 300 participants in its various workshops and has led to debates about entrepreneurship on the comparison of European Best practices in the creation and development of business. Alongside LIFE, the second edition of the event aims to raise public awareness of entrepreneurship and to enable entrepreneurs to get some advice about how to carry out and develop their project.
