POSITION DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES

The Department of Management of the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch
College is seeking an individual with substantial entrepreneurial and
executive experience to fill a faculty position in Entrepreneurship.
Among the skills and knowledge that are most desirable include an
understanding of the development and implementation of entrepreneurial
strategies, experience with start-ups, turnarounds and entrepreneurial
ventures, and high-level financial skills and experience. The ability to
clearly communicate these issues and experiences and to teach these
skills is essential. Since the Management Department offers courses in
undergraduate, masters, executive, and doctoral program, candidates
should have the capability for excellent classroom performance in an
array of programs.

The successful candidate will be released from approximately 50% of
his/her teaching responsibilities to serve as a field Mentor at the
Lawrence N. Field Center for Entrepreneurship. The Field Center is a
unique model for entrepreneurship that brings together faculty,
students, and business development advisors. The Center provides
educational programs, a networking environment, and consulting help to
start-up and established business by linking Zicklin School of Business
faculty and students with entrepreneurs. The Field Center also sponsors
national lectures and other events, as well as research opportunities in
entrepreneurship.

Baruch's Management Department, consisting of 40 members, offers BBA and
MBA majors in Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management,
Operations Management, and Entrepreneurship. It also offers PhDs in
Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management. The Zicklin School is
one of the largest accredited business schools in the United States. The
student body is high in quality and diversity. Baruch College is located
in the Gramercy Park area of midtown Manhattan.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

A Bachelor's Degree is required for the Lecturer ranks. A Master's
Degree is required for the Instructor rank. Advanced degree (MBA, Ph.D.
or J.D.) preferred. An interest in writing and research in the area of
Entrepreneurship would also be considered a positive.
