Deadline Novermber, 15 2006

The Third Annual Office Depot Small Business Research Forum, hosted by

are not limited to: governance, agency, altruism, stewardship, human resources,
networks, teams, alliances, internationalization, diversity, reputation, trust, social
responsibility, conflict, growth, succession, exit strategies, multi-venture, performance,
sustainability, and other related topics.

Although both theoretical and empirical papers are welcome, the emphasis will be
placed on high quality empirical papers that have some practical managerial or public
policy related orientation. It is anticipated that most of the participants will be from
universities, government agencies, or private business research organizations.
The Executive Committee managing this effort includes: Ramona K. Z. Heck,
Baruch College, NY, USA; Frank Hoy, University of Texas at El Paso, USA; Panikkos
Zata Poutziouris, CIIM, Cyprus and Manchester Business School, UK; and Lloyd Steier,

who represents the liaison link to IFERA's global network of family business researchers
and its aims to foster authoritative work from leading researchers around the world.
The papers presented at these research forums will have the opportunity to go
through a reviewing process and, if successful, will be subsequently published in a
Special Issue of JSBM.

A PDF file containing the paper should be e-mailed to Program Chair, Professor
Chandra Mishra at cmishra at fau.edu, and Special Issue Editor, Professor Ramona K. Z.

notified by December 31, 2006. There is no paper submission fee. Participants will be
responsible for covering their own expenses to attend the research forum. There is limited
space available for non-author participation. If you would like to express an interest in
