Call for Papers - 36th Annual Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Small
Business Conference - EISB2006
Embedding Entrepreneurship Education in Europe: Evaluating Effective
Policy and Practice at the Institutional, Regional and National Levels
Southampton Business School, now part of Southampton Solent University,
and the European Foundation for Management Development (efmd) cordially
invite you to this major event, to be held in Southampton, on the south
coast of England, from 6th to 8th September 2006. Areas of outstanding
natural beauty, several World Heritage sites, and many other historical
and cultural attractions are within easy reach for those able to combine
professional development with a late summer break.
Provisional deadlines are:
Abstracts and Proposals by April 1st, 2006
Acceptances by May 5th, 2006
Final papers by July 15th, 2006
Academic research papers, project evaluations, and programme and policy
case studies from any country that address our theme are welcomed.
Offers of papers and workshops will be refereed on a double-blind basis.
There will be Best Paper Awards and a wider selection of papers will be
published by efmd in our Annual Review of Progress in Entrepreneurship
Research. To ensure maximum participation and relevance, space will also
be made in the programme for shorter practitioner papers and
'works-in-progress' offered by any participant. Examples of failures as
well as successes are particularly welcomed if there are clear lessons
for future actions. A special programme and concessionary fee will be
available for doctoral candidates.
This is an opportunity for researchers, consultants, enterprise
developers and others to present high quality, evidence-based work to
their immediate peers. Beyond that, contributors to the programme will
be able to interact with, and perhaps influence, a range of policy
makers and senior managers, including people from international
organisations, regional development professionals and university Deans.
Policy makers and practitioners in enterprise development will for their
part learn of best practice in Entrepreneurship Education from around
the world, be able to benchmark their planned activities and have a
unique opportunity to influence future research and development agendas.
Don't miss out!
