The Small Business Research Centre seeks to appoint a Researcher to join the
staff of this internationally recognised research group. The post holder
will provide research and project management support to an EU funded
Framework VI project, concerned with the challenges and prospects of cross
border co-operation in the context of EU enlargement. This is a policy
orientated project, focusing on entrepreneurship in selected EU border
regions. Applicants should have an upper or first class honours degree in
the social sciences and preferably a PhD related to small business and/or
regional development issues. Knowledge of the academic literature on small
firms and/or regional development issues in a transition context is
