Liebe Mitglieder der Sektion Migration und ethnische Minderheiten der DGS,

Liebe Abonnent:innen des Newsletters,

vor einiger Zeit haben die Vorstandswahlen der Sektion Migration und ethnische Minderheiten stattgefunden. Als neu gewählte Vorstandsmitglieder übernehmen Oleksandra Tarkhanova die Betreuung der Webseite und des Newsletters, Eva Bahl das Feld Mitgliederbetreuung und Finanzen und Nils Witte das Amt als stellvertretender Sprecher und Schriftführer. Johannes Becker wird weiterhin für die Betreuung des Nachwuchspreises und die AGs der Sektion zuständig sein und ich freue mich von nun an das Amt der Sprecherin der Sektion übernehmen zu dürfen. Den neuen Vorstand finden Sie nun auch auf unserer Website. Wir sind gespannt auf die kommenden zwei Jahre und freuen uns auf die gemeinsame Sektionsarbeit.

Bevor Sie zu den gewohnten, aktuellen Informationen und Hinweisen auf Stellenausschreibungen und Fellowships, Calls for Papers, Tagungen und Neuerscheinungen kommen, möchten wir die Gelegenheit nutzen und an dieser Stelle auf die untenstehende Solidaritätserklärung für studentisch Beschäftigte anlässlich der laufenden Tarifrunde der Länder hinweisen.

Leider funktionieren die Links im Newsletter aufgrund neuer Maßnahmen zur Verbesserung der IT-Sicherheit nicht mehr bei allen Mailprogrammen der Universitäten. Falls Sie Probleme bemerken, können Sie versuchen den Newsletter über ein anderes Programm zu öffnen. Wir bitten diesen Umstand zu entschuldigen und arbeiten derzeit an einer Lösung dieses Kompatibilitätsproblems.

Dear Newsletter Subscribers,

Some time ago the board elections of the section on Migration and Ethnic Minorities took place. The newly elected board members are Oleksandra Tarkhanova as the website and newsletter editor, Eva Bahl, who will be responsible for membership and finances, and Nils Witte, who will be deputy spokesperson. Johannes Becker will continue to do the PHD Award and be the contact for the section's working groups, and I am pleased to take on the role of section spokesperson. You can find the new board on our website. We are excited about the next two years and look forward to working together in the section.

Before you get to the usual news and information about job offers and scholarships, calls for papers, conferences, and new publications, we would like to take this opportunity to draw your attention to the following declaration of solidarity for student workers.

Unfortunately, due to new measures to improve IT security, the links in the newsletter no longer work with all university email programs. If you experience problems, please try to open the newsletter with another program. We apologize for the inconvenience and are currently working on a solution to this compatibility issue.
