Liebe Mitglieder der Sektion Migration und ethnische Minderheiten,

wie wir Sie bereits in unseren letzten E-Mails und Newslettern darauf aufmerksam gemacht haben, ist die Vorstandswahl für September dieses Jahres geplant. Leider haben sich bisher noch nicht genug Kandidat*innen gefunden, die bereits wären, sich zur Wahl zu stellen. Daher haben wir die Frist auf den 20. Juli verschoben.

Wir möchten alle Interessenten ermutigen zu nominieren zur Wahl des Vorstands. Um bei der Wahl kandidieren zu können, müssen Sie Mitglied der Sektion sein. Wenn Sie im Bereich der Migrationssoziologie tätig sind und Interesse an einer Mitgliedschaft haben, ist das Verfahren ganz einfach. Zur Tätigkeit des Vorstandes: Der Vorstand setzt sich aus fünf Mitgliedern zusammen, die die Aufgaben der Sprecher*in, der stellvertretenden Sprecher*in, Finanzen und Mitgliederverwaltung, Newsletter und Homepage sowie die Förderung des Nachwuchs (insb. Nachwuchspreis und Betreuung der AGs) übernehmen. Für genauere Informationen über die Inhalte und den Aufwand sind die aktuellen Vorstandsmitglieder ansprechbar. Dear Members,

As we have already shared the information in our last e-mails and newsletter, the board election is planned for September of this year. Unfortunately, not enough members have reacted to our previous call. Therefore, we have postponed the deadline to become candidate or suggest another member as candidate to July 20th. 

We would like to encourage all who are interested to nominate for election to the board of the section. In order to stand as a candidate in the election, you need to be member of the section. If you work in the field of migration sociology and are interested in becoming a member, the process is quite simple. About the activities of the board: The board consists of five members, who take on the tasks of the spokesperson, the deputy spokesperson, finance and membership, newsletter and homepage as well as the promotion of early career scholars (especially early career prize and support of the working groups).
