Liebe Abonnent:innen des Newsletters,

Unsere Herbsttagung der Sektion mit dem Titel: „Confronting European pasts in the present: theoretical reflections and methodological approaches to researching formations of ‘race’ and whiteness“ findet am 9. und 10. November an der Technischen Universität Berlin statt. Die Frist für Abstracts ist der 31.05.2023. Wir freuen uns auf Ihre Abstracts. Detaillierte Informationen finden Sie hier den Aufruf in unserem beigefügten Mai-Newsletter.

Außerdem möchten wir Sie auf die anstehenden Vorstandswahlen der Sektion „Migration und ethnische Minderheiten“ im September dieses Jahres hinweisen. Wenn Sie Interesse, Lust und Zeit haben, sich an der Vorstandsarbeit zu beteiligen, möchten wir Sie bitten uns mitzuteilen, ob Sie für den Vorstand kandidieren wollen. Sie können auch gerne ein anderes Mitglied unserer Sektion vorschlagen, wir bitten Sie jedoch darum, diesen Vorschlag vorher mit dem oder der Betreffenden abzustimmen. Bei Fragen zur Vorstandsarbeit kontaktieren Sie gerne die Vorstandsmitglieder der Sektion (Sie finden die Kontaktliste der Vorstandsmitglieder online auf unserer Website: https://soziologie.de/sektionen/migration-und-ethnische-minderheiten/ueber-die sektion/vorstand). Sie können bis zum 30.06.2023 Vorschläge einreichen. Wir freuen uns über Ihre Vorschläge!

Next coming conference of our section, entitled; "Confronting European pasts in the present: theoretical reflections and methodological approaches to researching formations of ‘race’ and whiteness" will take place on 9th to 10th of November 2023 at the Technical University Berlin. Deadline for abstract submissions is: 31.05.2023. We look forward to receiving your abstracts. For detailed information, please find the call in the newsletter.

We would also like to draw your attention to the upcoming board elections of the section "Migration and Ethnic Minorities" in September this year. If you are interested, willing and have time to participate in the work of the board, we would like to ask you to let us know if you would like to run for the board. You are also welcome to propose another member of our section, but we ask that you first discuss this proposal with the person in question. Should you have any questions about the work of the committee, please do not hesitate to contact the members of the committee (You can find the list of the committee members and contact info on our webpage: https://soziologie.de/sektionen/migration-und-ethnische-minderheiten/ueber-die-sektion/vorstand). You can submit proposals until 30.06.2023. We look forward to your proposals!
