The event is for policy makers and scholars with a focus on business creation. The conference will begin with Pre-conference events on Wednesday (October 5th) involving GWU, the IFC and other partners. The first main-conference day, Thursday (October 6th), will provide an overview of current developments in data bases designed for assessment of new firms. All policy related sessions, keynote presentations, and the gala dinner will take place on Friday (October 7th), and research presentations will be scheduled for Friday and Saturday (October 7th, 8th).
Confirmed data base presentations for Visa Inc., The World Bank, GEM, PSED, NFIB, Kauffman Firm Survey, Kauffman Entrepreneurial Index, US Census Longitudinal Buss Data, and the D&B based NETS data base (Walls and Associates) among others.
 
We invite you to submit your abstract proposals to be presented during the conference that deal directly or indirectly with:
• Emerging Forms of Entrepreneurship
• Nascent Entrepreneurship
• Globalization and its Impact on Entrepreneurship and SMEs
• Soci(et)al Entrepreneurship
• New Ventures
• Gender and Entrepreneurship
• Other topics of interest to participant

The conference is hosted by the George Washington University Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence (CFEE) and the International Council for Small Business (ICSB). All sessions will be held at the GW School of Business in Foggy Bottom, Washington DC; aside from the Gala Dinner which will be at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Hall of Flags building.
 
The conference will be limited to 150 participants only; who will have a unique opportunity to engage and interact with both colleagues and partenrs such as the World Bank, Kauffman Foundation, VISA Inc. Small Business, PSED, GEM, NFIB and more.
