PhD Studentships in Business & Management
Nottingham Trent University - Nottingham Business School
(3 years full time)

Nottingham Business School's success in RAE2008 confirmed a step change in our research profile, with one of the largest submissions for a post 1992 university, 80% of our research was recognised internationally. We now wish to build on this success and strengthen our core research areas by offering three year full time doctoral studentships. Nottingham Business School has five research groups: Employment, Learning & Knowledge Management, Applied Economics & Policy, Consumer Services, Public Sector Management and Technology Management, Innovation & Entrepreneurship.

The studentships will involve carrying out research under the following headings:

* Women-owned SMEs' attitudes to Growth: A sectoral examination of marketing SMEs (Prof C Brindley & Dr C Foster)
* An investigation into stakeholder engagement & partnership working as prerequisites to drive the public confidence agenda: the case of the East Midlands Local Criminal Justice Board (Prof J Liddle)
* Investigating the impact of economic conditions (growth vs recession) on the employee resourcing strategy and practices of large project-based organizations (Dr A Raiden)
